Oral hyaluronic acid: what does "multi-molecular weight" mean?

A long read on the most studied active ingredient in oral nutricosmetics. No beating around the bush.

Hialurónico oral: qué significa «multipeso molecular».

When you read "hyaluronic acid" on a label, you are reading a broad category. Within it, there are differences, and the main one is molecular weight.

Molecular weight is measured in kilodaltons (kDa) and describes the size of the molecules. A hyaluronic acid can be of a single weight or combine several fractions. This combination is called multi-molecular weight.

What Eterhydra contains

Each sachet contains 200 mg of Bloomage UltraHA® sodium hyaluronate: a multi-molecular weight hyaluronic acid obtained through bacterial fermentation. Vegan. Oral-grade quality.

We describe it this way, with its dosage, origin, and grade, because this is what we can document. European regulations do not allow for claims to be attributed to hyaluronic acid in a food supplement, and we do not do so.

What we can state

Each sachet also provides 80 mg of vitamin C from acerola. Vitamin C contributes to normal collagen formation for the normal function of the skin.

Why we are telling you this

Because the dosage and grade are the first things that should appear on a box. If they are not there, you already have your answer.
